Position: Geotechnical Engineer
Job Summary: We are seeking a Geotechnical Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will assist in planning and executing geotechnical investigations, overseeing foundation and earthwork construction, solving technical challenges in field and laboratory settings, and preparing engineering reports for a variety of projects. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the planning and implementation of geotechnical field investigations, including logging borings, collecting samples, performing field tests, and recording data accurately.
- Oversee and monitor foundation and earthwork construction to ensure compliance with design and safety standards.
- Identify and resolve technical issues in the field and laboratory, implementing effective solutions.
- Prepare detailed logs, field forms, and reports such as drilling logs, test pit logs, and daily reports.
- Conduct document reviews, site reconnaissance, and data collection for project planning.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors on project challenges and progress.
- Perform other geotechnical engineering duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Geotechnical or Civil Engineering (required).
- 0–5 years of relevant experience in geotechnical engineering.
- EIT certification or FE exam registration is preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with excellent attention to detail and analytical capabilities.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
- Willingness to conduct fieldwork, with reliable transportation for site visits and a valid driver’s license.
